adventures with PB & J!!!

this past weekend ... went wild with PB & ...

on friday night the girls and i went out to room 18 ... i'm glad i don't have a lot of pixes to remind me of the night... there are just some things better left forgotten :) but we had a blast ...

there are like 3 big clubs around the area... my first time here...

we did our own things on saturday... but we met up later at night and went to this dainty little pub near our dorms that housed a family of golden retrievers.. erica's bffn's with the bar owner...

the bartender / owner made me a smirnoff ice.. it was derish!

and then on sunday... we got up bright and early at 9am to go to the taipei zoo...

PB didn't go to the zoo with us so we had to take pictures of everything on her behalf...

we had 9 minutes to hang out with the pandas...

the pandas here were soooo spoiled .. we think this is the pandas' vacation home... for when it got too cold in their displays

this is the pandas' natural habitat... so spoiled...

i guess they like to play tetherball :)

soooooo disappointing!!!! the pandas were sleeping when we went to see them... couldn't they have woken up just for 9 minutes?

they had their own swing set too :)

this porcupine thinks he's a beaver.. i think he's making a nest out of those branches...

and i think he wants to get out of his cage.... he kept poking the door with a branch for a couple minutes...

i guess fish are nocturnal creatures too...

malayan tapirs... why is every animal in the zoo asleep! such lazy creatures...

i think elephants like to flap their ears...

GIRAFFES!!!!! i miss artie :(

so i was looking forward to seeing the kangaroos the most at the zoo... and this was all i saw of the kangaroos that day... the exhibit was under construction... :(

kare bear has a thing for hippos.. just like erica has a thing for giraffes.. and me & kangaroos...

i thought hippos liked to chill in water... i guess not..

more elephants....

he was returning to his flock on the side.... not sure why he wandered off...

so we saw the second turtle humping the one in front... but then i guess the one in front got bored... and started walking off ... but the second one kept wanting more action and was super persistent about trying to get on top of the one in front .. so the second one kept following the first... then the third one i guess wanted in on the action too and it started following the two... but the last one gave up and walked off... i'm not sure if the second turtle ever succeeded again...

but this other couple... success!

not sure why all the animals are disabled....

i think this one was patrick the koala... he lives in between Q B & Q D... who's the brother of Q B... we guess that the reason why all three koalas are in separate boxes is to prevent them from fighting...

there's the poop again... a wall of it... and i got to go in the big yellow pile of dung... just to experience the life of a maggot...

gift shop in front.... i like the monkey and panda chains...

after the zoo... we met up with sleepy head PB ... and went to wufenpu ... which is an area that sells wholesale clothes to like department stores.. so the quality of the stuff's nicer... but it's more difficult to bargain there...

we also went to rao he night market.. which is almost right across the street.... got our eyebrows threaded there for $3...

wish i had stayed longer... bc i went to go meet up with howard & will for dinner ... but the girls and i are planning on coming back every month to get our eyebrows rethreaded :)

who knows what we'll be up to next :)
